Thank you for bringing this forward. First to reiterate that the main point of the article is that the current relative radiation of 5G is much lower than the one of the other wireless technologies. Another question is how harmful are the absolute levels of radiation and there is continuous research to evaluate this and adjust the allowed radiation levels accordingly. As also indicated in the article, we cannot be completely sure about the lack of harmful effects on the long run, in the same way that we cannot be completely sure about the long term effects of other phenomena (acoustic noise, food additives, etc. ).

I think that a proper approach for wireless engineers is to be ready to change the design principles and approaches in order to meet the primary goals (health and well-being), but also to engage in dialogue with the rest of the community, along with specialists for biological effects of radiation, in order to clarify what we know (e.g. that 5G does not cause spread of COVID), what we are uncertain about and what are the measures to tackle the uncertainties.

In short, health and well-being should be the first constraint to be satisfied in deployment and usage of any technology, needs to be continously monitored and the designs/deployments adjusted.
